Position Overview

Responsible for receiving, checking, counting, and stocking parts and materials received from vendors. This role verifies shipment contents against packing slips and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and maintain proper inventory levels. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. **A valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record (insurable) is required, as occasional driving may be necessary.**

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Unload and unpack incoming shipments, prioritizing all air freight packages.
  • Verify incoming parts and materials against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy and shortages.
  • Inspect parts for visible damage or defects.
  • Record quantities received and document receipts appropriately.
  • Distribute received items to the appropriate departments or personnel based on purchase order routing.
  • Repackage designated parts for private labeling and apply barcode labels as required.
  • Stock inventory daily in designated warehouse bin locations.
  • Set up storage locations for new inventory items and update inventory location records in the system.
  • Investigate and report receiving discrepancies or errors and complete discrepancy reports for buyer/vendor resolution.
  • Report inventory discrepancies to the Materials Manager for review.
  • Safely operate forklifts, hoists, and other warehouse equipment as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Ability to accurately read and distinguish part numbers.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and hoists.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and understand procedures, instructions, and related documents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and professional attitude.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 12 months of parts receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience or certification preferred.
Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, talk, and hear throughout the workday. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 70 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a warehouse environment with occasional outdoor exposure. Employees regularly use standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets, as well as warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, forklifts, and tape dispensers.
