    Reports To: Parts Manager

    Job Summary:
    The Parts Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of all incoming and outgoing parts, ensuring proper documentation, organization, and timely delivery. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Hours

    Hours are 6:30am to 12:00pm Monday through Friday

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts shipments for accuracy, quantity, and condition.
    • Unload and sort incoming parts and materials, ensuring proper storage and inventory placement.
    • Prepare, pack, and ship parts orders according to customer or department specifications.
    • Maintain accurate records of all shipments, deliveries, and receipts using inventory management systems.
    • Assist in inventory counts, reconciliations, and reporting discrepancies to management.
    • Ensure parts storage areas are organized, clean, and safe, complying with company safety policies.
    • Collaborate with other departments to fulfill parts requests in a timely manner.
    • Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
    • Handle returns and warranty parts processing in accordance with company policy.
    • Support the Parts Manager in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or warehouse training preferred.
    • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or parts inventory management is an advantage.
    • Familiarity with automotive parts, inventory systems, and shipping software preferred.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and work on feet for extended periods.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
    • Valid forklift certification is a plus.

    Work Environment:

    • Warehouse and parts department setting.
    • Frequent standing, lifting, and moving of parts and materials.
    • Exposure to various temperatures depending on storage conditions.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
    • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
    • Manual dexterity for handling small parts.
