Parts Specialist

Location: 1730 Russell Street
Hours: Full-Time, 7am to 3pm
Rate of Pay: $24.03 per hour
SUMMARY:
The Parts Specialist manages automotive and heavy-duty diesel inventories. The Parts Specialist will optimize inventory levels, process orders efficiently, and maintain an organized warehouse environment to ensure timely repairs and minimize vehicle downtime.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to talk or hear, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 (Fifty) pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 (One Hundred) pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is typically in a warehouse environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes and other airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
TRAVEL:
Travel is minimal (approximately 5%) and consists mostly of local travel with potential overnight travel for conferences in and out of state.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Evening, weekend and work hour adjustments may be required as job duties demand.
