Presque Isle, ME – Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Schedule: Full-time/Days; 6:30 AM–4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Payrate: $18.00/hr.
Job Description:
Now seeking a dependable and customer-focused Parts Specialist to join a busy operation in Presque Isle. This is a great temp-to-hire opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced work environment.
The Parts Specialist will assist customers and technicians with identifying, locating, and ordering the correct parts and supplies. This position is responsible for answering questions, processing orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and helping ensure parts are available when needed. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using computers, communicating with customers, and learning a variety of products and parts.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers and technicians with identifying and locating needed parts.
  • Look up parts using computerized catalogs, inventory systems, and product information.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to questions regarding parts availability, pricing, and orders.
  • Process parts orders, invoices, returns, and payments accurately.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify orders for accuracy.
  • Stock shelves and maintain an organized parts and inventory area.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate when parts or supplies need to be reordered.
  • Follow up on special orders and notify customers when parts arrive.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, returns, and inventory.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service.
  • Keep the parts counter and surrounding work areas clean and organized.
  • Assist with additional duties as needed.
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous parts, inventory, automotive, equipment, warehouse, or customer service experience is preferred.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to identify parts is helpful.
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and move parts and supplies as needed.
  • Dependable attendance and the ability to work the full scheduled shift.
