Overview
The Parts & Vehicle Measurement Inspector will use highly technical machinery and hand tools to measure and inspect microscopic automotive parts, ensuring they meet standard and specific guidelines.
Responsibilities
+ Use highly technical machinery and hand tools to measure and inspect microscopic automotive parts which are not detectable to the eye
+ Measure and inspect large automotive parts, such as body, frame, transmission, and engine
+ Use various hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, pin gages, etc. to verify part accuracy
+ Prepare reports on the quality of incoming automotive parts
+ Read and interpret various Honda-specific standards and guidelines manuals
Qualifications
+ A minimum of 2 - 3 years related experience in related measurement inspector role
+ Must have demonstrated CMM experience
+ Laser scanning experience is required
+ Proficient with computer software: Excel, PowerPoint,Word , Polyworks and Catia preferred
+ Experience a plus with Romer Arm, Faro Arm, ATOS, or Scan Trak
+ High School Diploma
+ Ability to work in a team environment
+ Ability to work a standard eight (8) hour day with some occasional overtime and possibly occasional weekend work
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
+ Ability to move and position parts and vehicles for measurement purposes
+ Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
+ Ability to stand, bend, twist or carry
