POSITION SUMMARY

Borden Dairy is seeking a quality-driven and efficient professional to join our team as a Pasteurizer. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for the pasteurization of raw milk. You will maintain proper and efficient operation of all pasteurizing, blending, separating, and product transfer systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with Milk Receivers to ensure proper product rotation of raw milk inventory.
  • Works closely with the plant laboratory to ensure products are formulated and tested to meet plant requirements.
  • Blends, mixes, and prepares products for production.
  • Deliver product to fillers to avoid downtime on production lines.
  • Minimize product loss.
  • Responsible for pulling product samples and documenting to the lab as necessary.
  • Alert leaders of any Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes which become non-compliant with specified requirements.
  • Assists in dumping reprocess daily and maintains documentation.
  • This is an active position that requires constant focus and activity. Pasteurizers are involved in pasteurizing, blending, and cleaning continuously.
  • Perform all necessary Clean in Place (CIP) of all tanks, line circuits, and associated equipment.
  • Monitor and document chemical concentrations to ensure proper cleaning of all equipment.
  • Perform regular gasket replacement and valve inspections as directed by supervision.
  • Record all necessary documentation on HTST and CIP recording charts to maintain regulatory compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Overtime and weekend work is occasionally required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Stand on your feet constantly during your shift.
  • Working in a humid environment that fluctuates from warm to cold seasonally.
  • May be required to work in cold, damp environments and be exposed to the outside weather.
  • Maintains constant mental focus and has excellent math and communication skills.
  • Must be able to repetitively lift 60 lbs, climb, work from ladders, squat, bend, and kneel.
  • Must be constantly aware of surroundings.
