The church is blessed with active lay leadership and members who desire to serve alongside their pastor in the work of ministry. Worship includes a blend of contemporary Christian music and traditional hymns, reflecting the multi-generational character of the congregation.

Job Profile

Full time

Teach, shepherd, and lead toward the fulfillment of the church’s Bible-based purpose: to evangelize, edify, and equip people to be true worshipers and representatives of Jesus Christ.

Take the Scriptures, digest them, and make them come alive – with practical application for daily living in the modern world

Protect the flock from false teachings and seek unity within the congregation

Honor the nearly 190-year history of the church while preparing it for the future

Build genuine relationships across generations and minister effectively to people of all ages

Qualifications

In agreement with the church’s constitution, doctrines, and teachings

A man of humility, devoted to prayer

A rural / small-town background is a plus, but not a requirement

Benefits

Compensation & Benefits

$50,000–$60,000 per year salary plus use of a modern 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath parsonage on the church property

Rozetta Baptist Church is located at 1772 Township Road 2125N, Little York, IL, in the west central part of the state – about 20 minutes from Burlington, IA; 1 hour from the Quad Cities; 1 hour 15 minutes from Peoria; 1.5 hours from Iowa City; and 3.5 hours from both St. Louis and Chicago.
