What You'll Do:
As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods, plated desserts, and pastries in alignment with M Street's standards. You'll work closely with the pastry leadership team to ensure consistency, cleanliness, and creativity in everything you do.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Prepare and execute pastry items including cakes, cookies, bread, and plated desserts
- Follow established recipes with precision and attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep area and pastry station
- Properly label, store, and rotate ingredients and finished items
- Assist with daily pastry production and support special event prep as needed
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the pastry team to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow
What We're Looking For:- Prior experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen preferred
- Understanding of basic baking techniques and equipment
- A passion for quality and presentation
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or in a team
- Strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- A positive attitude and growth mindset
