We also defend clients against claims of infringement.The major clients that we advise include companies in the following industries: medical devices, consumer devices, transportation, construction, agribusiness, sports and recreation, cannabis, heat, ventilating and air conditioning, infrastructure protection and repair, manufacturing equipment, and electrical and fiber optic connectors.ResponsibilitiesThis position's responsibilities would include drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications in the mechanical engineering fields, drafting and reviewing intellectual property and technology related agreements and licenses, and providing patentability, freedom to operate, and due diligence assessments.QualificationsJuris Doctor, higher degree, or equivalent in Law7+ years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution in the mechanical arts.Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar engineering degree and/or work experienceExcellent academic credentials and excellent research, writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required.Ability to work well under pressure, multi‑task efficiently and be an independent thinker.Licensed to practice law in Missouri.CompensationOur attorney compensation structure has two components: (1) a base salary and (2) a discretionary merit bonus based on performance. The salary range for this role is $200,000 – $250,000.
