A premier national law firm is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Houston office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing leading technology companies, manufacturers, financial institutions, and innovative businesses in sophisticated patent litigation matters.
• 2–5 years of patent litigation or intellectual property litigation experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
• Experience handling patent infringement litigation in federal courts, including competitor disputes and matters involving non-practicing entities (NPEs)
• Experience representing clients across industries such as technology, software, telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, life sciences, or engineering
• Experience managing all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery, claim construction, depositions, expert discovery, trial preparation, and appeals
• Experience with PTAB proceedings, inter partes review (IPR), or post-grant proceedings is a plus
• Technical background in engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, or another scientific discipline is preferred but not required
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation matters while maintaining significant client interaction
• Excellent academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted
