Job Summary McGuireWoods LLP is hiring a Labor & Employment Associate or Counsel with at least 3–6 years of experience to join its sophisticated transactional and advisory practice. Candidates will work in the Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, or Seattle offices, engaging clients in complex employment disputes, executive mobility, restrictive covenant enforcement, and post‑transaction workforce integration for private equity and M&A transactions.Responsibilities Advise clients on employment litigation and advisory matters, including restrictive covenant and trade secret disputes, executive mobility, and workforce compliance.Support employment matters related to mergers, acquisitions and private equity investments, drafting and negotiating executive employment agreements, separation arrangements and restrictive covenant agreements.Provide due diligence and integration support for post‑transaction workforce issues, including executive transitions and sensitive personnel matters.Collaborate with senior executives and corporate leadership to advise on governance and personnel issues requiring discretion and strategic judgment.Assist in internal investigations involving whistleblower or reputational concerns.Qualifications Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.3–6 years of post‑bar experience in a law firm or in‑house counsel with a focus on labor & employment.Strong analytical, writing and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple high‑priority matters under tight deadlines.Experience with private equity, M&A or corporate transaction work is highly desirable.Salary and Benefits Competitive salary ranging from $225,000 to $425,000, commensurate with experience, plus merit bonus opportunities and billable hours credit for pro‑bono work.McGuireWoods offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support attorneys' well‑being and professional growth.Our Applicant Disclosures describe your rights.
