Patent Prosecution Associate with Engineering BackgroundVenable LLP's Patent Prosecution and Counseling group seeks a junior to mid-level associate with a background in mechanical or aerospace engineering to join the group in Washington, D.C., New York, or Los Angeles.Qualifications1–3 years of patent prosecution experience at the USPTO or in a law firm setting.At least two years of legal practice experience.Undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science.Strong preference for previous experience as a patent examiner and PTO registration.Industry experience is a plus.Excellent academic credentials, strong writing skills, and sharp analytical ability.Jurisdicted to be admitted to the relevant bar and in good standing.CompensationSalary range: $215,000 to $355,000.EEO StatementApplicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act, as applicable.
