Private medical practice based in the Houston area, Brown Pathology is seeking a Pathologists’ Assistant to join our group at our Katy location. This is a day time position Monday through Friday.
\nQualifications:
\nEducation: Completion of a NAACLS accredited Pathologists’ Assistant training program
\nCertification: ASCP Certified
\nExperience: (Preferred) At least 1-year experience with highly complex specimens. Recent graduates will be considered.
\nDragon voice recognition software experience a plus
\nResponsibilities:
\n-Gross description and complete dissection of all simple and complex surgical specimens.
\n-Frozen section service.
\n-Assist in certain specialized procedures or projects as designated by the Pathologists.
\n-Tissue procurement for special studies.
\n-Assist with conference preparation as needed.
\n-Coordination of gross room work flows and personnel for efficiency.
