NOW HIRING: PATHOLOGISTS’ ASSISTANT – NYC

Pay: $85–$86/hour
13-Week Assignment
Anatomical Pathology Department
Flexible Scheduling Available

We are seeking an experienced Pathologists’ Assistant for an exciting 13-week opportunity with a prestigious healthcare facility in Manhattan.

SCHEDULE:

• Standard shift: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Flexible morning or evening scheduling
• Monday–Friday and/or weekends
• Schedule flexibility based on department needs

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Select and identify tissue for microscopic examination
• Describe, measure and dictate gross findings using appropriate terminology
• Determine proper fixative and decalcification procedures
• Photograph specimens for documentation and specific use
• Gross specimens and biopsies
• Support a high-volume anatomical pathology department
• Approximately 200 cases per day

Systems: Epic & Cerner Millennium

REQUIRED:

• Active NYS DOH Pathologists’ Assistant License
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Ability to gross specimens and biopsies

PREFERRED:

• ASCP certification
• Ability to provide frozen section coverage

Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on biopsies and who do not perform full grossing may still be considered for an available opening at a reduced pay rate.
