Pay: $83–$89/hour
13-Week Contract
Anatomical Pathology Department

We are seeking an experienced Pathologists’ Assistant for a 13-week contract opportunity with a prestigious Manhattan healthcare facility.

SHIFT & SCHEDULE:

• Primary Shift: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
• Flexible morning or evening hours available
• Monday–Friday and/or weekends
• Scheduling based on department needs

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Select and identify tissue for microscopic examination
• Describe, measure and dictate gross findings using appropriate terminology
• Determine appropriate fixative and decalcification procedures
• Photograph specimens for documentation and specific use
• Gross specimens and biopsies
• Work within a high-volume pathology department handling approximately 200 cases per day

Systems: Epic & Cerner Millennium

REQUIRED:

• NY DOH Pathologists’ Assistant License
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Ability to gross specimens and biopsies

PREFERRED:

• ASCP Certification
• Ability to provide frozen section coverage
