Description Location: UCHealth UCHlth Highlands Ranch Hosp USCO Highlands Ranch Department: HRH Anatomic Pathology Work Schedule: PRN 0.00 hours per pay period 2 weeks Shift: Flex Pay: $44.33 - $66.50 hour. Pay is dependent on applicants relevant experience.

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.

Summary Provides services in anatomic pathology under the direction of Pathologist.

Responsibilities

• Grosses simple non-complicated and complex surgical pathology specimens with possible inclusion of dermatology specimens.
• Performs frozen sections and provides coverage and support as needed.
• Aids Attending Pathologist.
• Obtains pertinent clinical information and history.
• Maintains Patient Confidentiality by following Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Within scope of job requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree from an accredited Pathology Assistant Program.
• Pathologists Assistant Board Certified or exam eligible with the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
