Job Summary:

HCA Healthcare Pathology Services and their North Texas Division are seeking a Board-Certified AP/CP Pathologist. We are looking for a strong experienced General Surgical Pathologist who thrives in a dynamic, multidisciplinary hospital environment and is eager to contribute to high‑quality patient care. This position is based at Medical City Plano, a premier tertiary‑care facility serving the rapidly growing Dallas–Fort Worth region.

Position Highlights:

  • Interpret a broad, high‑complexity general surgical pathology caseload, including a wide range of oncologic and subspecialty cases (GYN, Breast, Lung)
  • Work within a collaborative, collegial team of pathologists, clinicians, and laboratory professionals
  • Contribute to quality initiatives, workflow optimization, and clinical integration across the division

Pathology Volumes & Practice Structure:
  • The practice includes four full‑time pathologists, with a fifth being added to support growth and PTO coverage
  • Annual case volumes include 13,000 surgical pathology cases at Medical City Plano and 2,700 at Medical City Frisco
  • Pathologists rotate weekly at the Frisco campus to ensure balanced exposure and workflow

Qualifications:
  • AP/CP Board Certification required
  • Strong general surgical pathology skills with demonstrated experience in complex surgical and oncologic pathology, ideally with 3-5 years post-training experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Must have, or be eligible for, a Texas medical license
