3:30PM to 12AM Monday to Friday with weekend rotation every third weekend.

Job Summary

Performs a variety of clerical and technical duties under general supervision. Reports to a Laboratory Supervisor.

Responsibilities include:

• Receipt, accessioning, centrifugation, and decanting of patient specimens • Communicating with clinicians at the Front Window and over the phone

Essential Functions

Assist with labeling, preservation, and fixation of specimens. Work closely with technologists to ensure specimens are processed timely and accurately. Monitor reagent and supply inventory. Organize patient specimen and assay worksheets/printouts for testing and technologist review. Use LIMS to upload documents and input critical data or comments. Clean and maintain lab equipment.

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials

Experience Previous laboratory, healthcare, and/or customer service experience 1-2 years required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with individuals in the lab and the hospital. • Ability to multitask and work accurately under the stress of time constraints and heavy workload demands. • Demonstrates excellent dependability, reliability, accuracy, prioritization ability, problem-solving skills, customer service, and teamwork.
