Patient Access AdvisorThe Patient Access Advisor is responsible for completing patient registration processes for individuals presenting for services. This role ensures accurate collection and verification of patient information while delivering excellent customer service.Schedule:11:00 PM. – 7:00 AMRotating weekendsKey ResponsibilitiesComplete patient registration and check-in proceduresExplain required forms and obtain patient signatures as appropriateVerify insurance coverage and document prior authorizationsValidate medical necessity for ordered servicesCollect patient out-of-pocket paymentsEnsure physician orders are present and compliant with hospital policyMaintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standardsExperienceExperience in an acute care hospital, physician's office, or other healthcare setting is preferred, but not requiredKnowledgeKnowledge of office procedures and equipmentFamiliarity with health insurance processes and medical terminology preferredSkillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficient keyboarding and data entry abilitiesAbility to operate standard office equipmentProfessional telephone etiquetteStrong attention to detail and ability to process detailed information accuratelyEducationHigh School Diploma or GED required
