Summary
The Patient Access Coordinator will support the Heart and Valve Center Clinics location at Baptist Health Lexington. These duties include, but are not limited to, greeting patients and visitors; verifying patients'' demographic and insurance information; registering patients; obtaining necessary signatures; determining patients'' out-of-pocket expense, collecting and documenting patient payments and/or financial counseling as appropriate; scheduling appointments; ensuring patient flow; and medical records management.

Heart and Valve Clinic
The Heart Valve Clinic provides specialized evaluation, coordination, and management of patients with valvular heart disease. The clinic collaborates with cardiology and cardiothoracic teams to deliver timely, evidence-based care, support treatment planning, and enhance patient outcomes through coordinated, patient-centered services.
Patient Access describes a multi-disciplinary function that is carried out at the point of service areas of the medical office. Patient Access Representatives perform front office duties under the general direction of the Clinical/Practice manager or designee.
