Patient Access Liaison I - Weight Management

Summa Health - Akron City Campus

Full-Time / 40 Hours / Days (M-F 8a-4:30p / variable early shift - 6:30a-3p)

Summary:

Acts as initial contact for new Weight Management Institute (WMI) patients; Schedules appointments and consults for established patients of the WMI. Collects payments and processes receipts; Reviews charts and assists patients in completing all pre-op requirements. Masters responsibilities of one team (e.g., New Patient, Front Desk). Provides a high level of customer service to present a positive impression of Summa Health.

Formal Education Required:

a. High school diploma/GED required.

Experience and Training Required:

a. One (1) year experience preferred performing one or more of the following duties: scheduling, phone triage, patient check-in, patient registration, insurance verification, pre-certification, or medical assisting.

b. Knowledge of keyboard with high accuracy and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Level of Physical Demands:

a. Ability to sit for extended periods up to 10 hours.

b. Ability to adjust work hours to meet business demands as required.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
