Patient Access Rep

A health care professional that is responsible for registering patients upon arrival. Their role ensures accurate account maintenance and supports the revenue cycle by facilitating clear communication between patients and healthcare providers. Performs a variety of tasks.  Collects and verifies the patient’s insurance and personal demographic information. Verifies insurance coverage and helps to ensure accurate billing and account setup for smooth access to medical services. Ensures that accurate data entry for the billing and insurance claims. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. High school diploma or equivalent and 0-2 years of related experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
