Obtains demographic, billing information; Contacts third party payers to obtain pre-certification when required. Escorts/transports patients to the assigned nursing unit; strive toward customer satisfaction and meeting the needs of our patients; informs patient of hospital payment requirements. Receives and records notification of patients being admitted from physician's offices, emergency room and the recovery room; Provides coverage for other departmental duties as assigned which includes Bed Control, Discharge and any other duties specified by the supervisors.
