The Guest Registration department provides high quality customer care to patients by facilitating efficient and helpful registration service. We provide assistance to external and internal customers by obtaining patient personal, financial and insurance information during the registration process. Our friendly staff also assists with the coordination of bed assignments and the completion of preliminary authorization and verification for incoming patients to ensure a quality guest experience.

If you are dynamic and engaging, you can provide educational support to Guest Registration department and help to uphold Hawai'i Pacific Health's administrative and fiscal management excellence. As the Patient Access Training Specialist, you will be responsible for the training of entry level staff in programs associated with Revenue Cycle related front-end functions such as scheduling, registration, charge capture and payment posting. The scope of this training includes process, policies, procedures and systems (such as EPIC). We are looking for someone detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree in Business Administration/Business systems, Instructional/Curriculum Design, Management, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Two (2) years experience in patient access, clinic administration, revenue cycle or training. Previous experience and knowledge in needs analysis, instructional design and development, adult learning principals, training programs desired.

Preferred Qualifications: Health Care Financial Management Association CMPA certification or Instructional Design certification. Knowledge of EPIC Enterprise Suite system applications, including Cadence, Prelude and Resolute. Knowledge of patient accounting processes: registration, charge capture, billing, collections, etc.
