SSM Health Dermatology's mission is to strive as a team for excellence by providing the most comprehensive, patient-centered care every day. We are looking for a Patient Account Navigator to contribute in their own unique way to our Company’s exceptional services and performance for our patients.
Objective:
Under the direct supervision of leadership, the Patient Account Navigator II is responsible the greeting of patients to ensure the collection of all registration information.
Qualifications:
Associate degree preferred or related education and experience.
Five plus years of medical front office experience.
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
Job Duties:
Understanding of insurance benefits
Interview patients and/or families to ensure collection of all registration information, including the proper screening of uninsured patients.
Cash management, process insurance updates and conduct patient check in/out.
Collect self-pay balances, post professional charges, reconcile charges and batches at end of clinic, balance cash collections, and reconcile cash discrepancies.
Respond to patient or other requests for medical records.
Maintain reception area and waiting room by keeping a neat and orderly appearance.
Greet drug reps and facilitate SSM Health Dermatology Drug Rep Policy
Monitor the waiting room to effectively communicate patient wait times and identify patients who have not checked in
Assist patients with any registration-related questions or processes.
Assist patients needing additional assistance and utilization of handicapped access, identify patients needing wheel-chair assistance and coordinate with Medical Assistants.
Report any patient-involved incidents or near-misses for quality care improvement.
Other duties as assigned.
Drive to satellite clinics as assigned.

Associate degree preferred or related education and experience.
