Salary Range:

Competitive hourly rate, up to $34/hr on W2

Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team at the Santa Clarita Ortho Clinic. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth outpatient flow for optimal patient satisfaction and clinic operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Clean, professional appearance
  • Knowledge of insurance coverage and authorization process
  • Ambulatory outpatient clinic experience (preferably with Spine)
  • Patient scheduling expertise
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Proven customer service experience in a medical office or ambulatory care environment (3–5 years preferred)
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
  • Surgery scheduling experience
  • Cerner experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multiple appointments across specialties, ensuring clinic preparation and optimal patient flow.
  • Provide excellent customer service, managing heavy phone use, intake, and message distribution.
  • Obtain medical records/imaging, schedule procedures, manage registration, collect co-pays, and handle referrals.
  • Accurately enter information into computer systems and process new referrals promptly.
  • Schedule patient evaluations and clinic appointments, including surgery scheduling, labs, and diagnostic testing.
  • Assist with clerical and scheduling needs, including filing and billing documentation.
  • Facilitate communication between patients, caregivers, and care team members, ensuring all changes are communicated effectively.
