Join our Team as a Patient Accounts Lead
Are you a detail-oriented leader who is passionate about accuracy, service, and supporting patients through the financial side of healthcare? We’re looking for a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Patient Accounts Lead to join our team and help us continue our tradition of excellence.
In this role, you’ll lead key Patient Financial Services functions, ensuring accuracy in charging, billing, follow-up, refunds, cash reconciliation, and posting for insurance and self-pay accounts. As a team leader, you’ll also support staff development, oversee daily operations, and help ensure patients receive clear and timely assistance with billing and insurance inquiries.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee accurate charging, billing, follow-up, refunding, cash reconciliation, and payment posting for insurance and self-pay accounts.
• Lead daily operations within the department, including training, auditing, and workflow oversight.
• Support resolution of patient inquiries related to billing and insurance processes.
• Work with patients and third-party payors to secure payment on delinquent accounts using appropriate collection practices.
• Help maintain accounts receivable goals established by the department.
• Facilitate administrative functions including training coordination, safety oversight, supplies management, equipment and facility needs, policies and procedures, and departmental documentation.
• Ensure timely handling of correspondence, meeting materials, invoices, and visitor reception within Patient Financial Services.
Education & Experience:
- Completion of High School or GED is required.
• Two to four years of experience in a physician office, hospital registration, collection agency, hospital or professional billing, or training at an educational institution that includes medical billing is required.
