Join Our Team as a Patient Accounts Lead

Are you passionate about providing exceptional service and helping patients navigate the billing process? Were looking for a compassionate, dependable Patient Accounts Lead to join our team and continue our tradition of excellence.

In this role, youll play a key part in supporting our revenue cycle by ensuring accurate billing, resolving patient account concerns, and working collaboratively with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams. Your attention to detail and commitment to outstanding service will help create a positive financial experience for our patients while supporting the organizations mission of delivering exceptional care.

What Youll Do

  • Process accurate charging, billing, payment posting, refunds, and account follow-up for hospital, professional, and comprehensive center billing.
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies, contract variances, and outstanding accounts.
  • Assist patients by answering questions related to billing, insurance, and payment processes.
  • Work with insurance companies and patients to obtain payment on outstanding accounts using appropriate collection practices.
  • Maintain departmental accounts receivable goals through timely and accurate account resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, as well as Deaconess policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in every interaction.

What Were Looking For

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two to four years of experience in a physician office, hospital registration, hospital or professional billing, collections, or equivalent education or training in medical billing.
  • Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of healthcare billing, insurance reimbursement, and revenue cycle processes.
  • Experience working with electronic billing systems and patient account management.
