Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls from patients, physician offices, and insurance companies.
- Make outbound calls to patients and physician offices to obtain information or provide case updates.
- Review case history and insurance correspondence to provide information to callers.
- Communicate results of a benefit investigation to patients and physicians.
- Pre-qualify patients for any available financial assistance.
- Complete special projects assigned by the management.
- Meet productivity and quality goals set forth by call center management.
- Participate in team meetings by sharing observed trends and/or recurring issues identified when working cases and handling calls.
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- Possess superior customer service skills.
- Previous call center experience preferred, but not necessary.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to listen and work well with others.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Ability to learn quickly and navigate through different computer applications.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
