· Assureaccuratedataextractionfromclinical documentation.
· CoordinatetimelysubmissionofdataforMedicare patients.
· Educateandsupportstaffonproperandaccurate documentation.
· Actastheprimaryresourceforproblem-solvingregardingQualityIndicatorcodingandIRF-PAI completion.
· WorktoimproveprocessofQIcodingandallotherdatacollectionspecifictoIRF-PAI.
· EnsureIRF-PAIdataisenteredandtransmitted accurately.
· EnsureIRF-PAIdataistransmittedtoCMS/UDSwithintimeframesspecifiedfor admission/discharge.
· Review,interpretandcollectdataoneachpatientinpreparationforcompletionoftheIRF-PAI.
· CollaboratewithteamonidentificationofpotentialcomorbiditiesoraccurateCMG/RIC categories.
· Ensurealldischargedpatientrecordscontaintherequired elements.
· CompletechartaudittoallowfortimelyUDSexportandCMS transmission.
Qualifications
· Licenseor Certification:
o Licensedorcertifiedclinicianinhealthcare(RN,LPN,PT,PTA,OT,COTA,SLP, Recreational Therapist, Respiratory Therapist, case manager/social worker)
o QI Credentialed
o ObtainUDSIRFPPSCertificationafter2yearsinthePASCroleandbeforethe3rd-year anniversary.
· Minimum Qualifications:
o Abilitytoperform assessments.
o 1yearofhealthcare experience.
o AttendallEHCIRF-PAI trainings.
o Preferred:Experienceinrehaborpost-acutecare,proficientteaching,and communication skills· Effectiveoralandwrittencommunication skills
· Strongorganizationalandcriticalthinking abilities
· Detail-orientedandcapableofmeetingdeadlines independently
· Commitmenttomaintaininghigh-qualitystandardsinpatient assessments.
