About the Role:
RVA Children's Dentistry PC is looking for a compassionate and organized Patient Care and Insurance Coordinator to join our growing team in Glen Allen, VA! In this vital front-office role, you'll be the welcoming face of our practice — helping families navigate their dental care experience while ensuring seamless insurance and administrative processes. Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients and families, creating a warm and welcoming front-desk experience
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments to optimize daily workflow
• Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage prior to patient visits
• Submit and follow up on dental insurance claims and handle billing inquiries
• Collect co-pays, explain treatment costs, and assist families with payment plan options
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the practice management system
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office
• Respond to phone, email, and in-person inquiries in a professional and timely manner

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a dental or medical front office, patient coordination, or insurance billing role preferred
• Working knowledge of dental insurance verification, claims submission, and EOBs
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy office environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially with children and parents
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in billing and patient records
• Positive, patient, and professional demeanor at all times
