Summary:
The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) supports Radiologic Technologists in daily imaging operations, helping ensure a smooth, efficient, and patient-centered workflow. This role includes assisting with patient transport, preparing imaging exam rooms, restocking supplies, and providing support with patient care activities under the supervision of imaging personnel while working in a Diagnostic Radiology (X-Ray) department.
By contributing to both operational readiness and patient comfort, the Patient Care Assistant plays an essential role in delivering high-quality imaging services and a positive patient experience.

Education Requirements:
None required as long as other position qualifications are met.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
BCLS required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
Six months related experience is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate clinical information, technical procedures, and health care issues. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from adult learners. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to implement critical thinking.
