Job Summary: Provides personal care assistance to patients under the direction of licensed personnel. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities: • Performs direct patient care duties as assigned under the direction of licensed nursing personnel. • Assists in the performance of procedures for the patient population served in a manner that is consistent with established policies and procedures. • Provides for patient safety. • Participates in ongoing educational activities. • Completes assigned goals.
Specifications: Experience: Minimum Required: • Experience in patient care or related field Preferred: • Previous experience in a healthcare setting
Education: Minimum Required: • High school diploma or equivalent Preferred: • Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field
Skill in: • Communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral, and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. • Writing legibly and recording information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
Training: Minimum Required: • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 14 days of hire Preferred: • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
Special Skills: Minimum Required: • Computer literacy Preferred: • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Licensure: Minimum Required: • BLS certification within 14 days of hire Preferred: • Other relevant certifications (e.g., CNA, EMT)
