Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator / Front Desk Representative

Location: 191 Lefante Way, Bayonne, NJ
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Allmed Benefits: Vision, Health, Dental Insurance and 401(k)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Patient Care Coordinator / Front Desk Representative to support daily patient operations and help maintain smooth workflow within a busy medical office. This role is essential in improving patient flow, reducing staff burnout, and ensuring efficient front desk operations. The ideal candidate will have strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and prior healthcare or customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register patients and verify demographic information accurately
  • Confirm insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
  • Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining a positive patient experience
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the system
  • Assist with front desk administrative tasks and office workflow
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and staff
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Support daily operations to maintain an efficient and organized office environment

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2+ years of experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or customer service role
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous front desk or patient registration experience
  • Experience with insurance verification and appointment scheduling
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
