Position Overview
We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Patient Access Representative to join our healthcare team in Carrollton, TX. This role is essential in supporting daily front-office operations and ensuring patients receive exceptional service from check-in through appointment scheduling and follow-up communication.
The ideal candidate will have prior healthcare office experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage patient interactions with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Answer and manage inbound patient phone calls professionally and efficiently
Make outbound calls for appointment scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups
Schedule and coordinate patient appointments accurately
Collect patient copays and process front-office transactions
Enter and update patient insurance information in the electronic health system
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
Document patient interactions and updates within patient charts
Perform clerical chart preparation and administrative support tasks
Fax documents and maintain organized patient records
Provide excellent customer service while professionally de-escalating patient concerns or frustrations
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a healthcare office or medical front-office setting
Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Strong typing and computer skills
Knowledge of insurance verification and patient registration processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
