Pay: $23-25/hr

We’re hiring a Patient Care Coordinator to join a busy orthopedic and sports medicine practice in Freehold, NJ. This is a patient-facing role for someone who enjoys creating a positive patient experience while keeping the day-to-day operations of a medical office organized and running smoothly.

You’ll serve as an important liaison between patients, physicians, insurance companies, pharmacies, hospitals, and other healthcare providers, handling everything from appointment scheduling and patient communication to authorizations, documentation, and physician calendars.
Schedule

• Monday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Tuesday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Wednesday: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Answer and triage calls from patients, pharmacies, insurance companies, hospitals, physician offices, and other facilities
• Schedule patient appointments and complete online insurance verification
• Follow up with patients regarding missed appointments and outstanding testing or follow-up visits
• Coordinate imaging, lab work, and other prescribed testing
• Ensure physician documentation and required forms are completed accurately
• Prepare patient forms, including disability and motor vehicle accident documentation
• Process attorney requests for patient medical records and legal documentation
• Coordinate authorizations for motor vehicle and workers’ compensation patients
• Manage and coordinate physicians’ daily schedules and calendars
• Create electronic medical notes, telephone encounters, and general patient notes as needed
• Serve as a liaison between patients and providers to help ensure questions and needs are addressed

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of medical office experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable handling a high volume of patient and provider interactions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Computer proficient, including Microsoft Office applications
