SWICFT Cardiology, located in downtown Naples, is actively seeking a Patient Care Coordinator for a busy cardiology practice. Looking for a candidate with a specific skill set to work closely with patients in a concierge level care setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in either internal medicine or cardiology and possesses clinical knowledge of common medications and general healthcare conditions.
Responsibilities:
Answer patient calls efficiently ensuring patients are able to speak with a team member throughout the day in a timely, polite, and professional manner.
Communicate with patients in a courteous, professional, cooperative, and mature manner.
Accurately take messages and convey information to physician, medical assistant or patient.
Work closely with physician to input orders for labs and testing under the appropriate diagnoses.
Coordinate testing/patient appointments within office and/or with outside imaging centers if needed.
Schedule and reschedule appointments as needed.
Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent situations.
Collect and input insurance information in patient charts.
Collect payment/co-pays at check in/check out.
May be required to perform the duties of other employees in their absence.
Skills/Requirements:
Proficient computer skills with knowledge of electronic medical records.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Previous cardiology or internal medicine experience preferred, but the right candidate can be trained.
Attention to detail and organized.
Ability to work as a member of a team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical office experience desired, preferably in cardiology or internal medicine.
Medical terminology knowledge.
Clinical experience required.
