Aubin Aphasia Speech and Language Center is a collaborative outpatient speech-language pathology practice dedicated to helping children and adults achieve meaningful communication. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and proactive Patient Care Coordinator to serve as the welcoming face of our clinic during afternoon hours. This position plays a vital role in creating a positive experience for patients and families while helping maintain full therapist and tutoring schedules through excellent communication and relationship-building.
The ideal candidate enjoys talking with people, is comfortable making outbound phone calls, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where customer service and organization are equally important.
Welcome patients, tutoring families, and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.
Check patients in and out.
Answer phones and respond to general inquiries.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Assist with scheduling and appointment changes.
Support clinicians with administrative tasks as needed.
Make outbound calls to tutoring families to check in on their experience.
Build relationships with families and answer general questions.
Identify scheduling opportunities and help fill available tutoring appointments.
Follow up with families who have missed appointments or paused services.
Maintain accurate communication notes within the scheduling system.
Help maximize clinician schedules through proactive outreach.
Assist with data entry and maintaining patient records.
Coordinate paperwork and intake documents.
Support special projects and community events as assigned.
Help ensure smooth daily clinic operations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Friendly, professional, and compassionate personality.
Comfortable making frequent outbound phone calls.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
Experience in customer service, healthcare, education, or office administration preferred.
Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team.
