Minimally Invasive Vascular is seeking a professional, compassionate, and highly organized Patient Care Coordinator for our medical practice. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys creating an outstanding patient experience while supporting the operational growth of a dynamic specialty medical practice.


Our practice specializes in interventional radiology and minimally invasive vascular care, delivering innovative, patient-centered outpatient treatment options in a welcoming outpatient setting.

Position Summary


The Patient Care Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients while also supporting insurance coordination, scheduling, billing workflows, and practice growth initiatives. Because this is our newest office, we are looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable, and excited to help build and grow the Jacksonville location.


Responsibilities

Patient Experience & Front Office Coordination
·         Welcome patients and create a warm, professional first impression 
·         Manage incoming calls, scheduling, appointment confirmations, and patient communications 
·         Coordinate patient registration, intake, pre-op forms and instructions, consent forms and demographic updates 
·         Arrange patient transport and travel to and from the office
·         Patient chart prep, maintain patient paper and EMR charts
·         Scan and send OP reports
·         Ensure smooth daily front office operations and patient flow 
·         Address patient questions with professionalism and empathy 

Insurance & Financial Coordination

·         Verify insurance eligibility and benefits 
·         Obtain prior authorizations for procedures, imaging, and specialty services 
·         Support medical billing workflows
·         Maintain accurate documentation within EMR/practice management systems 

Referral & Administrative Coordination
·         Coordinate referrals from physician offices and outside providers 
·         Communicate effectively with referral sources and patients regarding care coordination 
·         Support provider scheduling and administrative workflows 
·         Assist with office organization and operational support 

Marketing & Practice Growth Support
As our Jacksonville office continues to grow, this role will also support outreach and patient engagement efforts, including:
·         Assisting with social media content and online presence 
·         Supporting referral relationship development 
·         Helping with local marketing initiatives and community outreach 
·         Identifying opportunities to enhance patient acquisition and retention 

Qualifications

Required


·         2+ years of medical office experience in a patient-facing administrative role 
·         Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations 
·         Working knowledge of medical billing workflows 
·         Strong customer service and communication skills 
·         Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities 
·         Proficiency with EMR/practice management systems and general office technology 

Preferred
·         Experience in interventional radiology, vascular, surgery, or specialty medicine 
·         Familiarity with referral-based medical practices 
·         Social media, marketing, or patient engagement experience 
Experience helping grow a new office or practice location
