The Patient Care Coordinator is a representative of WTRC with patients, patient families, and referral sources. Responsibilities consist of answering the telephone, checking in patients as they come for treatment, and keeping an accurate daily log of patients treated as well as other clerical duties requested. Responsible for all clerical functions within the department. Other duties include daily attendance records, data entry, interdepartmental communications, and scheduling. Provides technical assistance to therapists as needed.
This position requires endurance to perform tasks over long periods of work hours and the ability to perform essential functions without posing a "direct threat" in the work place. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Must have a minimum of two years of experience in clerical work, which requires knowledge of general office procedures; ability to effectively and efficiently use, or demonstrate an ability to learn all office machines required to accomplish the department's activities. Experience in using Windows and Word is preferred. Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, and emotionally upset individuals.
