Patient Care Coordinator in Imaging Admin Unit at Providence St. Joseph Hospita. This position is Per Diem and will work 8-hour Day Shifts.

Under minimum supervision performs diverse and advanced administrative duties and supports multiple information systems support for Imaging Services.

Coordinates day to day Imaging access functions, including but not limited to, coordinating imaging procedures with the radiologists, nursing and technologists. Improves the efficiency and accuracy of scheduled imaging studies by coordinating the procurement of necessary data, clarification of orders, and communication with referring practitioners and radiologists within assigned modality(ies). Is responsible for the handling and solving of any problems related to their assignment. Works as a team with Imaging leadership to help ensure high levels of quality in all aspects of imaging.

Required Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED, or equivalent education/experience
  • 2 years healthcare business office or Imaging Services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate''s Degree in Health Services or related experience.
  • 3 years Imaging Services.
  • Experience with Imaging Information Systems including PACS, EMR, RIS.

The successful candidate''s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
