Overview:

District Orthodontics is seeking a friendly and organized Front Office Dental professional to join our team. We are an established dental practice that provides exceptional oral care to our patients. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that the front office runs smoothly and efficiently while providing great customer service.

 

As a Front Office Dental team member, you will be responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, answering phone calls, and handling insurance verification and billing. You will also assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area and providing support to the dental team as needed.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department
  • Provide information to callers and visitors regarding the organization
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars
  • Perform data entry tasks, including updating and maintaining records
  • Assist with order entry and inventory management
  • Manage office supplies and ensure stock levels are maintained
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting and distributing
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Qualifications:

You will be required to possess the following:

 

  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Experience in calendar management and scheduling appointments
  • Familiarity with order entry systems is a plus
  • Previous experience in office management or administrative support roles is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures is an advantage
  • Ability to handle filing systems and maintain organized records
  • Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines

This position requires excellent customer service skills, as the front desk receptionist will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
