Patient Care Customer Service Representative

About the Role
We're looking for experienced call center professionals to help collect patient experience feedback for healthcare research studies. You'll manage calling patients after they've been discharged and walk them through a short, structured survey about the care they received - feedback that hospitals and providers actually use to get better. The work is collected under Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines.

What You'll Do

• Call discharged patients and conduct surveys following a set script
• Confirm patient details like hospital name and discharge date
• Type responses word-for-word into the system while staying focused on what the patient is saying
• Keep conversations courteous and on track, and encourage patients to complete the survey
• Point patients toward the right contact if they raise a health or care question you can't answer
• Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA requirements on every call

What You Need

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year experience handling calls and working in an office setting
• Fast, accurate typing, and comfortable listening and typing at the same time
• Basic computer skills, no specific software experience needed
• Ability to sit for 46 hours at a stretch and doing routine work with consistent quality

Good to Know

• You'll take a short Microsoft Word test (80% or better to pass) and an alphanumeric data entry test measuring speed and accuracy.
• All equipment is provided on-site, however reliable transportation is required to get to and from work.
• Healthcare experience isn't required but a plus.
