Patient Care Technician Position Summary The Patient Care Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of an RN. They perform tasks as delegated by an RN for a broad spectrum of patients as it relates to their age, developmental, and service needs. The inventory distribution and delivery of medications may be required.
Patient Care Technician Position Requirements High School Diploma or GED required.
Successful completion of department specific Patient Care Technician Program or completion of Nurse Extern program or 3-5 years of experience as a Patient Care Technician at an acute care facility.
Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Maryland - licensure issued by the Maryland Board of Nursing is required.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR is required.
If hired into position, candidate is required to attend and complete Nursing Assistant orientation, which is scheduled for 2 consecutive days (Tuesday & Wednesday) - dayshift during the designated TidalHealth New Employee Orientation weeks.
