Submit your application for the opportunity below: Patient Care Tech IMC Job Summary and Qualifications Seeking a Patient Care Technician for our practice will deliver high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. What you will do in this role: You will be under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), and will assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT's skills/training and the needs of the Department You will consistently assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment You will promote consistent, positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service You will demonstrate caring and empathy in all interactions and advocates for patient- and family-centered approach in all decisions and actions You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, including active listening. Ensures patients, physicians, and colleagues have a clear understanding of all communications You will engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals/AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc. You will participate as an active member of the health care team and positively promotes the rest of the team to patients/families/caregivers and other colleagues Qualifications: This position is in Dept 631 Intermediate Care Unit Graduate from high school or equivalent Current C.N.A certification in the state of Nevada Current BCLS Completes a competency skills checklist within 3 months of employment Management of Aggressive Behavior/De-escalation Techniques course (5 Neuro Only - CPI/hospital approved course within 90 days of hire) Attend Trauma Informed Care course as directed by manager/director Minimum of one-year direct patient care preferred Minimum one-year experience working with patients with neurological diagnosis preferred Minimum one-year experience working with patients with psychiatric diagnosis preferred Benefits MountainView Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
