This position is Monday - Friday and works daytime, first shift hours from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Patient Care Technician for our ambulatory surgery center. You will provide safe and effective patient care by transporting patients safely and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness. You will assist with operating room turnover, sterile processing, inventory and supply maintenance. What you will do in this role:

  • Facilitate the transfer, positioning and transport of your patients
  • Interacts with patients, fellow employees, physicians, and other stakeholders in a manner which encourages quality patient care, harmonious working relationships, positive customer relations, and which enhances the image and reputation of the center
  • Assists in monitoring and recording in environmental and equipment log.
  • Perform terminal cleaning of your surgical area
  • You will maintain sufficient supply levels, cleanliness and orderliness of all your equipment and supplies
  • You will answer phones
  • You will assist with computer data entry

Qualifications you will need:

  • One year patient care assistance in a nursing or environmental services environment
  • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment***online certification not acceptable.

Bayside Ambulatory Surgery Center is an AAAHC accredited state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center. We are located on the water in Coconut Grove. Our center performs over 600 cases a month. Services in Cardiothoracic, Colon, Rectal, Gastroenterology, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Podiatry, and Urology specialties are offered.
