The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in the healthcare delivery setting by improving patient satisfaction by influencing patient throughput. QualificationsJob Requirements:Minimum 6 months in an acute care hospital settingPrior experience in performing EKG and phlebotomy proceduresBLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.Preferred Job Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentPatient care or EKG and phlebotomy certificateCardiac Credentialing International CertificationEmergency Department ExperienceRate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
