    What you will do:
    Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, provides close observation of high-risk patients to monitor the patient’s health condition and promote a safe and clean environment. Participates as a member of the treatment team by performing behavioral observations.  Reports any changes in condition or unusual incidents to the primary care nurse.  When needed, assists nurses in the delivery of nursing care, including, but not limited to patient handling and mobility, transportation, activities of daily living, and vital signs. Reports to the House Supervisor on a daily basis to determine the area of highest priority, including the emergency department or any inpatient area. Participates in required nursing orientation/training and non-violent crisis intervention training.

    Required Education:
    Ability to read, write and do simple math. Ability to follow instructions.                                   

    Preferred Education:
    High school/GED equivalent

    Required Technical Skills:
    Good communication skills.  Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.                                    

    Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
    BLS; Non-violent Crisis Intervention (within 6 months of employment)                              

    Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:
    Certification as nurse aide.

    Required Experience:
    Knowledge to assist the licensed nurse in the care of the patient.

    Preferred Experience:
    Previous medical experience.
