Job Highlights
- Provide care to patients on assigned unit under the direction of a Registered Nurse
- Perform tasks such as vital signs monitoring, 12-Lead EKGs, bladder ultrasounds, blood glucose checks, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, specimen collection, and assisting with bathing, feeding, turning, and ambulating patients
- Assist with patient admissions, preparation for discharge, and implementing patient-specific care plans
- Maintain hourly rounding, assist with safety protocols, and provide emotional support to patients
- Ensure a safe environment for patients and deliver a positive, high-quality experience
Candidate Profile
- CNA certification or Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation is preferred
- Current CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required
- 1+ year of relevant experience in a medical office is required
- Must have basic computer proficiency for charting and patient documentation
- Relevant soft skills include interpersonal skills, prioritization, collaboration, and ability to follow directions
