Putnam Hospital, a 164-bed acute care hospital, has been serving the local community in Carmel, New York, for 60 years. Job Summary Performs nursing skills encompassing patient care and relative tasks under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse. Provides a safe, quiet, comfortable environment for patient visitors and employees. Demonstrates accountability for job responsibility and functions. Provides direct quality care and service to patients of all ages under the direction of the Unit Manager-designee.
Qualifications Education: High School Graduate Licensure: Registration Certification: BLS credentialing Work Experience: Recent experience as a nurse aide, phlebotomist, or EKG technician preferred Working Conditions: Manual significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity Occupational Significant occupational risk Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
